Ingredients
- 3 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- ¾ teaspoon Cream of Tartar
- ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 cup Mrs. Ruth's Apple Pecan Jam
- ½ cup Buttermilk
- 1 ½ cups White Sugar
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter, Softened
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ¼ teaspoon Lemon Juice
- 4 large Eggs
- 1 cup Chopped Pecans (Optional)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two 9x5-inch loaf pans.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, salt, cream of tartar, and baking soda; set aside.
- In a small bowl, stir Mrs. Ruth's Apple Pecan Jam and buttermilk together; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and lemon juice.
- Beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
- Add dry ingredients to apple pecan jam mixture, mixing just until blended.
- Fold in the pecans.
- Divide the batter evenly between the baking pans.
- Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 55 minutes.
- Cool for 15 minutes.
- Remove from pans onto cooling racks.
- Cool for at least 15 minutes.
