A fruit and cookie pizza with Mrs. Ruth's Belgian Chocolate Strawberry Jam

Mrs. Ruth's Belgian Chocolate Strawberry Pizza

A sugar cookie crust, a cloud of sweetened cream cheese, fresh strawberries and blueberries, and a warm drizzle of Mrs. Ruth’s Belgian Chocolate Strawberry Jam — this is the dessert pizza that stops conversations. It looks like it came from a bakery and takes about 30 minutes. Make it for your next gathering and watch it disappear.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 10–12

Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Mrs. Ruth’s Belgian Chocolate Strawberry Jam
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries, washed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven according to cookie dough package directions. Press sugar cookie dough evenly into a greased pizza pan or round baking sheet, forming a thin, even crust.
  2. Prick the dough all over with a fork to prevent bubbling.
  3. Bake according to package directions until golden. Let cool completely before adding toppings — at least 20 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and fluffy.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled cookie crust, leaving a small border around the edge.
  6. Arrange sliced strawberries and blueberries over the cream cheese layer, covering the surface generously.
  7. Warm Belgian Chocolate Strawberry Jam in the microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until pourable but not hot.
  8. Drizzle the warmed jam over the fruit. Slice and serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to 4 hours before serving.

Tips & Notes

  • Cool completely: Adding the cream cheese to a warm crust will cause it to melt and slide — patience pays off here.
  • Room temperature cream cheese: Cold cream cheese won’t whip smooth — pull it out 30 minutes before you start.
  • Make it ahead: Bake and cool the crust a day ahead. Add toppings within 2–4 hours of serving for the best texture.
  • Customize the fruit: Raspberries, kiwi, peaches, or mandarin oranges all work beautifully — use whatever is in season.
  • Presentation tip: Arrange the fruit in concentric circles or a pattern for a stunning visual effect.
