Ingredients:
• 1 package refrigerated Puff Pastry Sheets
• 1 cup chopped cooked meat (rotisserie chicken, ground pork or chicken, shrimp)
• 1/2 cup mushroom slices (fresh or canned) (optional)
• Sliced Pepper Jack cheese (or cheddar)
• 1 10 oz jar of Mrs. Ruth’s Kickin’ Pepper Jam
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F
2. Line large baking sheet with parchment paper
3. Unroll dough onto sheet of parchment paper
4. Cut sheet of dough into 8 rectangles with pizza cutter
5. Place each rectangle onto lined cookie sheet allowing room between each
6. Top each rectangle with 1 tablespoon of Mrs. Ruth's Kickin' Pepper Jam (or more to taste)
7. Place 1/2 slice of Pepper Jack cheese on the bottom half of each rectangle
8. Combine meat and mushrooms and spoon 2 Tablespoons of the mixture on top of the cheese
9. Fold top edge of rectangles over the bottom and press the edges to seal (using fingers or a fork)
10. Bake for 15 minutes until pastry is puffed up and golden brown
11. Enjoy!
Additional Information:
Tips: Refrigerated puff pastry is easy to use. If using frozen puff pastry dough, allow dough to thaw to room temperature before starting
Storage Instructions: Refrigerate leftovers and reheat if desired.
