Ingredients:
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1 10-ounce jar of Mrs. Ruth’s Appley Dappley Jam
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1 1/2 cups white sugar
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (2 sticks)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
• 4 eggs
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Grease two 9x5 loaf pans.
3. Combine flour salt, cream of tartar and baking soda into a bowl; set aside.
4. Stir Mrs. Ruth’s Appley Dappley Jam and the buttermilk together; set aside.
5. Combine sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl. Beat in electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients alternately with the jam mixture; mixing until just blended.
6. Divide batter evenly between the 2 prepared pans.
7. Bake in. the preheated oven until toothpicks inserted into the centers come out clean, about 55 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes. Remove from pans onto cooling racks.
